that I am now flying. Every time I get on a plane, I feel like I%u2019m coming home. What makes flying a single-engine airplane special compared to a commercial airplane?Flying a single%u2014engine airplane is an experience that changes your view of the sky. First of all, these are amazing emotions! After all, unlike commercial airplanes, where we are just passengers, in a single-engine airplane, you make all the decisions. Every choice, every move is yours: before your eyes there is only the endless sky and the horizon, which expands under the wings. The cockpit is a window into a world where nothing separates you from the landscape, and every flight becomes an extraordinary visual experience. The roar of the engine beneath you is not just a sound, but a continuous dialogue between you and the car. I%u2019m currently taking courses to get my pilot%u2019s license. For now, I%u2019m taking the helm in the presence of an instructor. But the feeling of direct control, even during class, makes you feel like you%u2019re part of something bigger. It%u2019s a journey that makes your heart beat in a different way: you live the atavistic dream of being %u00abhuman%u00bb: to have wings and fly. What advice would you give to those who are exploring the world of single-engine aircraft for the first time?My advice is to just get started. An introductory flight with an instructor will allow you to understand if you really like flying and will give you a concrete idea of what it means to fly an airplane. In addition, I recommend devoting enough time to theoretical training: understanding how an airplane works and knowledge of aerodynamics are essential for safe flight. Finally, don%u2019t forget to enjoy every moment: flying is an experience that offers a unique perspective on the world and a sense of freedom that is hard to find anywhere else. What special places have you visited on these planes? My experience of independent flights was truly unusual and full of wonderful emotions. I%u2019ve been lucky enough to fly in Italy, Russia, Florida, the wonderful Bahamas, and Borneo in Indonesia, and each flight has added a new dimension to my experiences. I got a particularly invaluable experience when my friends and I from Milan flew to the island of Elba. This journey has turned every minute in the sky into an unforgettable adventure. Not everyone knows, but there are flying clubs that organize such air trips as part of groups of friends or flight enthusiasts. They allow you to have fun and discover new Italian or foreign locations. These flights are usually organized for members of flying clubs, but for certain occasions, or for promotional purposes, they can be open to everyone.Everyone associates flying with a rather expensive pleasure. What costs should we expect?It%u2019s true that flying is a passion that can require expenses. But there are ways to get closer to this fascinating world without spending a fortune. Moreover, the famous phrase of the inventor Leonardo da Vinci: %u00abWhen you walk on the ground after a flight, you look at the sky, because you were there and you want to go back there again.%u00bbAs for expenses, for example, a familiarization flight, which is one of the most affordable options, can cost about 200/300 euros for 30/45 minutes. This price includes an airplane rental, an instructor, airport fees, and the flight itself. Since 2014, Certified Flight Schools (ETO) have been practicing familiarization flights with experienced pilots without the need to be a pilot or enroll in flight courses. This way, you can enjoy the thrill of flying and the charm of the sky without incurring too high costs. Are single-engine aircraft flights dangerous?Obviously, if you ask my wife or my mom this question, they will answer that it is the most dangerous thing in the world)). But, apart from jokes, according to statistics, the number of accidents on airplanes of this type is significantly lower than in car accidents. Flying, like any other day-to-day activity, involves risk, but it is important to note that safety largely depends on aircraft maintenance and the confident skills of the pilot. Private singleengine aircraft are designed and manufactured in compliance with strict safety regulations and undergo regular inspections. Well-trained www.osminog.pro 15
